EXPLORING THE SIERRA

The Sierra de Las Nieves is an amazing nature reserve just one hour away from the bustling streets of Marbella in Southern Spain. It stands out for the great variety of landscapes and ecosystems that it boasts and this is due to the complex geology and geomorphology that it presents, as well as the special climatic conditions to which it is exposed. The true hallmark of this territory are the Spanish fir forests, a botanical relic of the Tertiary coniferous forests, endemic to the mountains of Málaga and Cádiz, and which, in this protected natural space has its largest area of distribution in the world with about of 2000 ha.
